Friday Legal Advice LineFriday Legal Advice Line takes place remotely every Friday afternoon from 1 pm - 5 pm. Each volunteer is asked to call four clients (1 per hour). HVL will provide the client's phone number, legal resources, and contact information for a staff attorney mentor. Veteran’s Pro Bono RoundtableOn Thursday afternoons from 2 pm - 5 pm, volunteer attorneys will join a round table discussion with HVL's Supervising Attorney for the Veterans Legal Initiative, Randy Clark. Randy will lead the roundtable discussion on six pro bono cases for Veterans who have applied for HVL services. Volunteers will be asked to help analyze the cases, triage the matters, and determine whether or not the specific cases need a pro bono attorney. Street Law
Street Law is a global, nonpartisan, nonprofit organization with more than 40 years of experience developing classroom and community programs that educate young people about law and government. Street Law programs and materials help advance justice by empowering people with the legal and civic knowledge, skills, and confidence to bring about positive change for themselves and others.
