The position requires broad knowledge of patent law and procedures for litigating patent cases before U.S. District Courts and the U.S. International Trade Commission. Experience with cases outside the U.S. is helpful. The attorney will personally manage and lead teams comprised of internal and external resources to achieve cost effective and successful outcomes. Key responsibilities include the development of case strategies and budgets as well as active involvement in patent litigation matters, which typically will include the management of outside counsel, factual investigations, pretrial pleadings, discovery, motions practice and dispute resolution (whether by settlement, trial, or ADR). Senior Deputy County Counsel | County of San Diego

This classification is allocated only to the Office of County Counsel. Under direction, incumbents are responsible for independently handling cases and assignments that vary from moderate to difficult and complex, and handling cases and matters that have the greatest potential impact upon the County and its officers, boards and districts. The Law Department is recruiting for a Senior Patent Counsel to support clients located in La Jolla, CA; South San Francisco, CA; or Spring House, PA. (northwest of Philadelphia).
